I have a seascape oil painting signed louis or lorus really not sure, wondering how to find out who the artist is

Does anyone know anything about this painting?

No, not really, but this type of painting, although lovely and executed well, reminds me of paintings produced en masse by starving artists and sold at art sales in hotels for 24 to 50 CDN. Not being condescending but have seen many like it wanting to be appraised.
