I have a condensation problem in my shower room which keeps peeling the paint off the ceiling and results in black patches. I have an extractor fitted and I have tried all the expensive anti-condensation paints to no avail. Any suggestions?

THis all indicates air circuilation and venting issues... are you sure the "extractor" is actually installed correctly? You need a power vent that vents to the outside of the building. Not into the attic or just move the air around.
Can you give me more details about this, "extractor "? Do you have a power vent installed? Your peeling is caused by high humidity. Consider a dehumidifier or piping more AC into the bathroom. Good luck, Tom
Is it plaster ceiling or painted drywall ?
As suggested above the best way to remove steam from shower stall would be to install UL Approved / Wet Location ceiling fan...
