    Heat trace
    Heat trace under mobile home works but when trace from the city is plugged in it trips breaker. Any ideas why?

    How do you get power now? City supplies heat trace? I'm a bit confused about "city trace ".

    Heat trace on pipes under trailer works but when the hookup to town's water pipes is plugged in it trips the breaker. One suggestion was we needed a bigger breaker. Little confused myself.

    Please, please do not take electrical advice from whoever said this.
    In almost every case this is not safe or legal.

    Obvious overload or short. Putting in a bigger breaker is dangerous and could easily cause a fire. I would first replace the one on the city line. Could have been chewed by a rodent and shorts to ground.
