I have replaced a moen 1225b diverter valve in my shower and it still drips. Have I installed it incorrectly? The moen name is at the top of the valve.

Sounds like you may have picked up a little bit of dirt in your cartridge. Turn the water off to the valve to open it up. Remove the cartridge and check the inlet ports for any debris. Now, with the valve still open. Turn the water on for a few seconds to flush out the supplies. Reassemble and check. Drip all better now? Good luck, Tom

Thanks for the info. We live on a well with some iron in the water. I flushed it out and reinstalled it and the drips have ceased and my marriage has been saved.
