My periods use to come every month and last 3 or 4 days but within the last 2 years it doesn't come for months and when it does it can last 3-6 months . I bleed heavy and its normally a light red . What could this be ?

Dangerous.
IT could be a hormonal imbalance. Have you had any major body changes/traumas in the last 2-3 years?
