    Waranty on cracked boiler
Bought my house last June 2013. Just found out that 7 year old boiler is cracked and must be replaced. Has a 10 year waranty but boiler comopany claims only to original buyer so they are refusing to honor the waranty. Is this correct and is there anything we can do?

Most warranties are to the original purchacer... unless clearly stipulated otherwise.

    What does the warranty state?

Read the warranty. Does it state. "Original purchaser "?

You must be dealing with Burnham. In the past few years they have gotten very hard nosed about warranties. If it says "original purchaser", that's exactly what they mean.

If it is a Burnham boiler, go to their website-www.usboiler.net/‎ and read the limited warranty. Specifically states "original owner".
