I have two wires from wall red an white need to know what terminals they go on. On a hunter thermostat model 44760

Do you have a heat pump?

This thermostat is for heat pump systems, I believe, and you should have more wires coming out of the wall.

The owners manual states it can be used for a 2 wire heating system but I didn't see how to wire it for such. If you just bought that stat, I suggest you return it & get some thing more suitable for your application. I would stick with Honeywell or White Rodgers. Personally, I've replaced more Hunter thermostats than every other brand combined.
