    Filing for divorce myself
    Im planning to file a divorce myself, I'm tight on money to hire my own lawyer. My questions are;

    1. How can I file for divorce if I don't know where he lives? The only address I know is his parents house.
    2. Can I use his parents address, although he had mention before that he had no contact with his parents whatsoever.
    3. and If ever I used his parents address... if the sheriff goes to that address to serve his subpoena.. can his parents sign it as received?
    4. I have his SSN.. but I think he's not working on a company.. so his not paying taxes.. he's working as a carpet installer with his brother in law... so I don't think.. even if they will search for him... no records will show:(

    We don't have any property or debts that we need to settle.. only one child. IM not interested in maintenance... just a support for my kid...

    Please somebody help!:(

    You NEED an attorney, each state and sometimes court will have specific requirements as to what is requried to "find" the ex. If you know he does not live somewhere you can't use it for his address, his parents can't sign for his legal paper work.

    So you know where his brother in law is .

    But you will not only have to file for divorce but also for custody and support.
