I had unprotected sex a week ago. I also got a UTI from it and got prescribed to ciprofloxacin. I've been on it for 2 days.
Yesterday, I started getting a headache, back pain (not cramps, back pain), and today I've been extremely sleepy all day.
I read online that those are all signs of early pregnancy signs, I also asked my friend who just had a kid and she told me those exact symptoms.
could I be pregnant?

It is too early to tell and symptoms like this would not be present this early in a pregnancy. You will have to wait and see if you miss your period. If you do, wait two weeks, then test with the first urine of the morning. By the way, did you read any of the possible side effects of Cipro?

My period is supposed to come on the 1st.
And I did, and they don't typically have those side effects.

Any time there is penile insertion there is the possibility of pregnancy. As noted its too early for symptoms to manifest themselves and too soon to take a test.

The above advice is correct. You'll need to wait for your period. If you miss it, wait two weeks and then test using first morning urine.

The first symptom of pregnancy is normally a missed period. The symptoms you're describing happen a bit later in pregnancy, not a week after sex.

You need to contact your doctor to see if you are having some of the less 'typical' side-effects. All three of the symptoms you say you have are the list.

You could be pregnant since you had sex, but you could also be affected by the medicine. Your doctor can give you more information on testing for pregnancy and better birth control options.

Yes, it is too soon for most home pregnancy tests to give an accurate result. Most are more accurate two weeks after you miss your period.

Or you can contact your doctor to make certain your symptoms aren't side-effects of your medication for the UTI and ask him/her about pregnancy testing.

Chances are good either way. Unprotected sex is how the whole thing is supposed to work you know...it's how babies are supposed to be made.

You were supposed to get your period on the l5th of January ? Check your calender then, it has almost been a month.
