Basement duct work in manufactured home
    Hello,

Im beginning to plan out finishing my basement and have a question about the duct work in this home. It is a manufactured home (one of those where the two halves go together onsite) and the duct work in the basement runs under the center two main joists. What are my options here for this duct work and minimizing the height it is currently occupying? Floor slab to floor joists is already a tight 94 inches, and I plan on losing 4 inches with the floor and 3 inches with the drop ceiling if these ducts don't through any wrenches in the way. Ill be right at about code height with those specs... Are there any novel approaches I can do with these ducts? I had though about replacing them all the rectangular duct work which is about 3" in height. Would there be any problems with this? Would that be appropriate for this application? A few example pictures are below. Im also going into this assuming you cannot cut into the center main joists which seems like a terrible idea consider it holds the house together and would violate all kinds of codes? I figure I can't be the first person out there wanting to finish a manufactured home's basement! :) Thanks for any and all help!
