I'm 14 years old and I'm a freshman in high school. And I think that my school is singling me out. Okay so here's the deal, I have an adult to accompany me because in the past me and a couple friends were at lunch and we walked into a construction site (they were doing work on my school) and the principle said "you guys are not supposed to be here!" And she let my friends go but had me stay? So somehow they didn't get in trouble and I did for going there. But they were there too and they didn't get in trouble. So yeah that's why I have an adult to accompany me. And just recently they changed my schedule because I needed help in math. And when you change one class, it affects the whole schedule. So now that I already got used to my new math class and my new schedule, they are changing it again because there was was an incident in my new math class. So this kid said a mean comment to me and I simply told him to shut up. Well, the adult that's with me says I said it to the teacher. And I would never say that to a teacher! I only said it to that kid because he was being mean to me! So then I got called out to go to the principles office and they gave me 8 days of out of school suspension because they think I told the teacher to shut up, and I didn't. So my parents met with the school and told them that it was directed towards that kid who was being rude to me. But they still insisted that it was directed towards the teacher. And they won't let that go. And this will be my 2nd schedule change. And I hate changing my schedule because of the adult with me. Everyone's always like "why is she with you?" And it's soooo annoying because I don't have an answer for them. And I'm out of my mind right now. I am livid. I don't know what to do. I am praying that I can sue the school for this. That's how serious this is. What should I do?

Why do they think your comment was directed at the teacher? Were you looking in her direction when you said it?

Well he was standing next to her... but I said it specifically to him. And they saw that I said it to him.

So why is everyone saying you said it to the teacher? There must be a good reason.

Was the teacher talking at the time and you overtalked him with your comment?

Anyway, you are only hurting yourself with this paranoia. And I still don't understand why an adult accompanies you.

(It's principal, not principle. Principle = rule.)

Pray as hard as you want but a lawsuit is not in the picture.

You hate, you are livid, you are out of your mind, you want to sue.
You sound like someone who is quick to get angry, and who lets it out too.
Life is full of frustrations and sometimes unfair situations, and it takes a lot of effort to deal with it all without blowing up. But you learn that that is how you get results in this world - calm, reason, thinking before you speak.
I'm not buying all of your stories, because you have an excuse for all of them.
I do agree that once you get a rep, it snowballs, and some of this is because of it, but overall, I have a feeling that you think you can deflect blame over and over, and that just doesn't work for very long.
Your parents don't know who you yelled at - they weren't there. Using them to fight your battles isn't going to work now that you are in high school, because you are almost an adult, and once you are 18, they can't do anything at all.
Work on biting your tongue. We ALL have to do it. None of us are better than you, just better at forcing ourselves to put a lid on emotions.

So because you went off school grounds, or on, to a construction site, you now have an adult accompanying you to school, and to every class? That makes no sense at all.

Sounds like this is a student helper. My son had one from grade 1 to grade 4, due to speech issues, and learning issues. Sounds like this adult may be there for that, not because you got busted going into a construction zone.

We got your version of events. I'd really like to hear the schools version, as I'm sure it's very different from what you've told us.

What do your parents have to say about all this?
