I just received a job offer and have to take a psyche medics hair follicle test, I'm nervous because I never smoke ever but 6 weeks ago did it with my husband who also never smokes and I took two small hits. I don't know how to do it really and I'm not sure I inhaled correctly I didn't cough and I only felt my throat burn slightly on the second hit. I really want this job and I hope I pass but I'm terrified now. if it helps I do have longer hair and it is dark brown.

Your terminology is spot on for someone who 'never smokes'. After six weeks I don't think you have to worry.

I agree with tickle. And hair color and length have no bearing.

A hair drug test is meant to show consistent use over time. A 1.5 inch sample of hair, cut at the scalp line, will go back 90 days. I doubt very highly if you will show positive since there wasn't enough use. Also Psychemedics is probably using a hair drug test with a high cutoff levels, which means it won't pick up a small amount of use. You should be negative.

Thanks. My terminology is coming from my husband who occasionally smokes just not around me was my point. That was the first time I had ever tried to do it and he thinks I will be fine because I didn't cough so he doesn't think I inhaled much of anything. And it was really old weed I guess and not very potent.

I was referring to 'taking hits'. Not necessarily what a first time user would say.
