Kitchen outlets work and then don't work.
Hi, I have had a house (newly built) for 2 years. In my kitchen, one side of the outlets no longer work. We did the shut off in the garage and turned it back on and it worked. Now 5 months later same outlets won't work and turn off and on doesn't make it work.

My son reset the circuit breaker and it did not work. The outlets on the other side are working.

    Suggestions?

Since we are talking the kitchen. Are any of the outlets GFI outlets? Some use a breaker and some may have installed a gfi outlet. If you have one of those then there should be buttons on it. One of the buttons is "reset".

    Lets us know.

Make sure to reset the GFCI outlets. They have a Test and Reset button.

GFIs are typically used in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, etc - wherever there is risk of exposure to water. Often one GFI is wired to protect several other outlets "downstream" so when it trips multiple outlets can be affected. If you find a GFI outlet, press the "Reset" button and see if that clears the problem.

We do have a GFI on outlet cover. I will have my neighbor help me with this tomorrow.

    Thanks
