Hi I would like to find out what are the side effects of stopping progesterone. I had a d&c in mayand the doctor put me on 5mg progesterone for 3 months which ended on the 28 sept. My last period was on the 6th of September. We had unprotected sex on the 21st and 23rd. Now my period has been delayed for 3 weeks. Could the progesterone delay my period. I don't have any symptoms of getting my period soon and the pregnancy strip test has been negative

You need to get a blood test, and talk to your doctor. Could be a side effect, but could be pregnancy.

Well the Dr assume it was a side affect and just scanned my eggs. That's about it. No blood test or pregnancy test. Ask to come back again to see if the egg grew.

At this point just follow what you're doctor is suggesting. It will come in time. :-)
