In 2010 I had sugery for a hernia. After the surgery I ended up in a lot of pain. Nerve pian in my right hip. The pain starts in the lower back an around my hip and into my groin and down the leg. there is also pain in sciatic region. around the front of my hip where your bowel is the pain is extreme it runs from mr groin area to the rib cage hard to sit up. I have also lost 40 lbs of weight. Is there anything that can be done. In pain.

Didn't they catch this in a post surgery checkup? Talk to your doctors, I think they did something wrong if you're still in this much pain almost three yeas later.

I know the front pain to the groin and down the leg. That could be sacral nerves.
The sciatic pain is clear enough.
Go get a second opinion far away from this set of doctors and the hospital, so there is no good old boy network.
You could be stuck with this for life. You may have basis for a lawsuit. Trouble is, pain is subjective, and can't be see on a meter or scan.
I read about a device that was implanted to stop the front pain, but it was a rare procedure. Sciatic pain is another matter.
