I live in Texas. Married in 1976, divorce final in 1982. I went to work for a company in 1983 and will soon retire. Will my ex be entitled to any of my pension or social security?

As far as the pension goes then no. She wasn't around when you started to accumulate it.

On the issue of social security by current law she isn't entitled to any as you weren't married long enough. But because of the changes in government they can change the rules at anytime for that one.
