    Can you believe this..
I just recently found a guy I chatted online for like a month was actually married. Why do guys do this stuff I would like to know... I haven't spoken to him in like a year but just found this out. I feel like dumb...

Very common to find that people online aren't who they say they are. Men and women both do this usually because they are unhappy in their current situation and so they live a fantasy life online. Others take it even further and begin affairs. The internet allows you to be whoever you choose to be so you have to be careful who you talk to. If you ever do choose to meet someone in person, always always meet in a public place and drive yourself there and let someone you trust know where you are going and who you are meeting.

This surprises you why? The internet allows many low life people to lie. Remember the ex-Mayor of Spokane Washington? There are so many examples of people lying and being inappropriate on the internet. Be surprised when someone tells the truth. And that is sad.

    No you shouldn't.

But you should understand that one of the attractions of the WEB is its anonymity. Anyone can be anything on the WEB. An 80 yr old grandfather can be a teenage girl or a cop can act like a criminal etc. You can't assume that anyone is who or what they say they are.

How did you find out if he didn't tell you? Cut all contact with him now that you know he is liar.

Hi your right online it could be anyone. I found out because the email he used had his name on it. I goggled his name and guess what I found out. I did that because I felt to play it safe.

So now you know and it's just time to move on.

And just to be clear... in your original question, you mention "Why do guys do this stuff"... I have news for you... it's not just guys that do it. Plenty of women do this as well.

I am confused. You first state that you 'recently' found this information out about a man you talked to for a month almost a year ago. Then you say that you googled his name to 'play it safe'. You waited a year to check him out? That isn't 'playing it safe'.

If you were thinking about getting back in touch with him, better you found out now. But I will caution you to be careful about what you find out through internet searches. Unless you have positive proof it is the same person, you could have found someone else with the same name.

Did your search say when he married?

Hi yeah your right about that. I actually thought the same thing. That sometimes someone might not be who they say they are. I actually had not spoken to him for like a year and was thinking about getting back in touch, Something told me to check him out before I contact him again. I goggled his name and a property came up and said that he is married. It had the same
Email he gave me. So I'm sure its him. Also a twitter account with the same email.
