Invoice a Spanish company from New York
    Hi guys,

I own a small LLC in NYC and I have to invoice a company in Spain. Does anyone know what has to be included on the invoice beyond the services provided? Are any taxes applicable or anything I shouldn't miss on the invoice?

    Thanks! :)

What is being invoiced for? But generally there is little difference. You could specify that payment be in USD so you don't have to do the currency conversion.

Thanks, ScottGem. The invoice is for translation services and content editing. It's my first invoice to Spain and I wouldn't want to do anything wrong. So, no taxes and only the full amount of the services?

Also, do you know if the invoice can be payable to a Spanish bank account or does it have to be necessarily to an american account for taxes purposes?

    Thanks again!

Will they be paying by wire transfer? If so, they should be able to pay to any bank where you have an account.

I don't believe there would be Sales Tax, but you would have to declare the income on your corporate return. I use PayPal for such transactions because they will do the currency conversion, but you would need a business account for that and PayPal charges a small fee for such transactions.

They will be paying by wire transfer and it would be easier for me using a Spanish account. But I'm not sure if that is compatible with the LLC being set in New York.

    I didn't think about PayPal. I'll have a look.

    Thanks again ScottGemm! :D
