I want to breastfeed my newborn baby but am taking several medications and need to know if they are harmful to my baby if I breastfeed. The medications are ibuprophen600mg- prenatal vitamins-acetaminophen325mg-doc-q-lace100mg-ranitidine150mgs-oxycodone5mg.

Those are all okay to take while breastfeeding. However, the doc-q-lace may cause some diarrhea in the baby, so if this is not necessary, you may want to change your stool softener.

Also, is the oxycodone necessary for your daily survival? If not, you might want to cut that out and replace it with something non-narcotic.

I give all of these to patients, but it is typically for short-term use, usually only for a week or two.

I would like to add that ibuprofen is not safe to take during pregnancy.
