Wouldn't really matter either way. If you've had sex, protection or no protection, pregnancy is possible. Wait until 2 weeks after this odd period, then try testing with first morning urine.

According to my period tracker my next cycle is due on the 29th of this month I was going to wait and see if I get a missed period

Wait until then. If you miss it, wait 2 weeks then test using first morning urine.
