I need the name of a movie about a teenage boy who traveled to save his kidnapped parents who were spies. He had been taught spy skills also and was quite resourceful. He encountered some mysterious and strange people and was taken to a sort of room or cave with crystals or mirrors at one point. He also met up with other teenagers while staying at a hostel. He even brought back a girl to live with his family after he rescued his parents.

Amazing that you could come up with the title considering the sketchy information I was able to provide. I saw the movie several years ago and there was so much weird stuff involved I actually had forgotten about the shapeshifting part so I probably never would have remembered the title.
