    How old is your daughter?
What is your custody arrangement with your ex?
Whose children are the two you are talking about?
What category of sex offender is he?
What do you know about what is known by authorities?

The question is not clear enough , however in any case a sex offender should not be allowed to live in the home, he or she should get some reformation from d rehabilitation center before proceeding to live with people. (That is if he/she is not jailed)

First, any question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

I'm guessing FL with the name Pensacola. So from this site:
FDLE Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators - FAQ

•Florida's sexual offender/predator registration laws do not prohibit a sexual offender/predator from living with a child or minor based solely on the individual's requirement to register. However, if an offender/predator is currently under supervision he or she may have specific guidelines/restrictions set by a judge. This information can be obtained by contacting Department of Corrections or Department of Juvenile Justice directly.

So to answer your question it would depend on the nature of the offense and the level of offender. But I would suspect that if he was allowed to marry someone with children, it would be OK.

There are many types of sexual offenders, the majority are 19 to 24 year old men who have sex with 16 or 17 year old girl friends. Others are caught paying for sex and some for urinating in public ( side of a car or behind a building)

So merely being caught and proven, does not say what he did.
