My skin used to be oily. But I started epilating my face for a few months now - with a remington epilator. I know it sounds like torture - but it helped reduce the oil and some acnes on my face. Be sure not to put on more than 2 products on your face after you wash. DO NOT wash your face more than twice daily - for washing your face, use a cream cleanser like Neutrogena DEEP Clean. Also, use products that won't clog pores and that are not OILY. End the day with Spectro Jel or some other product that contains Salyilic acid.
A life saver for oily acne prone skin is drinking lots of water - max 3 liters per day.

Oily skin is caused by over-active glands. It's also caused by hormonal imbalance, heredity, weather conditions, comedogenic products or incorrect cleansing. You should always use "non-comedogenic" products on oily skin. Use a mild cleanser to help prevent clogged pores. If your skin feels tight afterwards, opt for an oil-free moisturizer.
Hi juliebean,
I think you should do some research on jojoba oil - I just started using it. It's supposed to inhibit production of sebum and it's natural!
