Strong sewer smell when flushing an RV toilet.
We live in our RV 6 months of the year. When we flush the toilet there is a strong sewer smell on the inside of the RV and the outside. It doesn't matter if we have just flushed the black tank or if it is getting full. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Im not sure if it is the same as I have heard before but from my understanding what you want to do is the next time you empty the tank completely then fill it with water and a few gallons of bleach. Then go for a nice drive on a windy road. After empty the tank and go about your regular routine.

You may also want to check around and see if there is a mechanical vent (called an AAV) under the sink... could be defective and need to be replaced... ;)
