Married in baltimore now lives in Texas how to file for divorce
I was married in Maryland but recently moved to Texas. My ex still lives in MD. We have not been together for 4 years and have no children or assets together. In fact, he has at least one child with a woman. What is the easiest way to file for a divorce?

You have to be in most states for 6 months for the residency to be legal... so if you have lived there for 6 months or more... file from the state you live in.

You never said how long recently actuially was?

The easiest way is to live in your new state long enough to establish residence and file there.

Texas: 6 month residence in the state, of which 90 days must be in the county in which you file.
