    Pregnant?
I'm 18 and have been with my boyfriend for almost 2 years, but we've been sexually active for about a year. The last few times we've had sex, it's been unprotected. I've been having symptoms like cramping, headaches, back pain, sore and tender breasts, mood swings, and food cravings. I haven't missed my October period yet, but could there still be a chance I'm pregnant?

ANY time there is penile insertion there is the risk of pregnancy. How did you get to be 18 and not know that? You can reduce the risk, but not eliminate it.

And since you have not done anything to reduce the risk, of course you could be pregnant! But the first manifestation of pregnancy is a missed period. Its too early for symptoms to manifest themselves.

Of course you could be pregnant. Why do you think you couldn't be?

With that said, it's too early to test. The first symptom of pregnancy is a missed period. You need to wait until the period is at least two weeks late and then test using first morning urine.

I didn't think I couldn't be. I knew it was a possibility, that's why I asked. And thank you for the information, I'll be sure to do that.

Even with a condom it's possible. There are women on this site, and all over the world, that used three forms of birth control, all used correctly, and still got pregnant. Some more than once.

Any time you have sex, even if you use protection, pregnancy is possible. So, if you're having sex, you should be ready to be a mom.

Using a condom once in a while, is not using birth control. You had unprotected sex 2 times, so that increases the chance of pregnancy. You'll have to wait, and test, and see.
