I stole 17000.00 dollars from my employer and now facing crimnal charges
Help! I have recently been fired from a job that I absolutey love for stealing a large amonut of money. I feel horrible, degraded and have no self respect of myself. He has given me 30 days before he presses charges. What will happen if I can't abide by that. Should I ask him to extend for me?

$17,000 stolen and you loved the job? Of course you loved it, you were getting extra money. Now you feel bad... why? Because you know it was wrong or because you got caught?

So what will happen... if you don't make the 30 days, he said he will press charges. This would likely mean an arrest and court and jail. Sure you could ask for an extension but he doesn't have to give you one. In fact, I think it was nice enough that he even gave you 30 days... I wouldn't have.

Types of charges depend on where you live (in the US, by state), but I am pretty sure that 17,000 is a felony in all 50 states, so it's a matter of which class of felony.
Not sure what you mean by 'can't abide by that?' Abide by what?
Scrape together every penny you have left and return it, TODAY. Work out a restitution plan, TODAY. Extension? you have to be from another planet. You could be in jail tomorrow for what they used to call grand theft.
You should feel horrible and have no self-respect, but you have no right to feel degraded. Your employer has been very kind. Don't abuse it. Sell everything you own, cancel your cell phone and internet and TV, and pay him back. Borrow.
