Expensive gifts often make people uncomfortable, especially that soon. And what if he can't get you something expensive? I like the music idea. Or make him something. The treasures I've kept from my long life are all handmade. They don't have to be museum worthy.

First, I have to ask if your parents approve of your dating and having a boyfriend. You need to be upfront with them about it.

But, since he is into music, I like J_9's suggestion about sheet music.

My son's girlfriend made him a fleece tie blanket for his birthday, super easy and inexpensive. You could find some baseball themed fleece, or fleece with music notes on it, or fleece in his favorite colors, all sorts of possibilities.
