    Pulling a back tooth
I have had trouble with my very back bottom tooth since May. After 3 fillings to fix a crack at the back, and now seeing a root canal specialist the verdict is in my tooth is dead.. Dentist said I have 3 choices: 1. Go in and remove filling to see how low the crack is and if he can fill it he will then get a crown 2. Try to save the tooth.. But he doesn't seem positive.. and might have to pull anyway.. 3 - pull tooth.

I'm 51 but worried about my teeth all moving around.. I had braces and have spent a lot of money... To make my teeth straight.. Your thoughts.. I'm was leaning towards having him take the filling out to see what he thinks.. But now thinking just pull the darn thing..

I have all of my teeth at 70, with exception of one back tooth and never had a problem with teeth moving around; have regular six months maintenance. So I would have to say, have it pulled, you won't miss it and you will be saving money.

One the tooth is disturbed that deeply, i.e. Filling removed to see what damage has been done, and a crown put on, and you say he doesn't sound positive, I would worry about eventual bone loss around the tooth.
