In my answer to civil suit, I stated my reasons for dismissal does the plaintiff
In my answer to a citation in a civil suite I stated my defense and asked for dismissal of the suite. Does the plaintiff have to answer my dismissal statement?

In my answer to a civil suite I gave my reasons for dismissible. Does the plaintiff have to give a written response to the court and if so how would I be notified?

Depends on the court. Since you posted under Small Claims, I assume this is small claims court. Such courts are generally less formal.

    Has a hearing been scheduled?

Then you go to the hearing. As soon as you start you ask the judge to rule on your motion for dismissal.

As indicated, probably not. But if the other side does respond, they should send you a copy. The problem is that they might not do so nevertheless. At the court hearing you should move to strike anything that wasn't sent to you. Or, you could check with the clerk a few days in advance of the hearing to make sure nothing of which you are unaware has been filed.
