I do have ulcerative colitis, which I am currently taking medication. Yesterday and this morning I had bloody stools. The blood was bright red and seemed to be quite a lot of it, especially when I wiped.

Go to an ER. Failing that, a doctor/walk in clinic. Bleeding from the butt is something you REALLY need to get looked at. Especially if it's been bleeding for a while.
