The water pressure in my kitchen or bathroom sinks goes way down when the shower turns on. This was not the case a week ago. Why would the pressure suddenly change?

The first thing we need to know is if you are on city/town water or if you are on a well system?

Has there been any plumbing work done in the house lately?

Single family or multi. family home?

Has the city/town been working on water mains in your area recently (may need to call local water department to find out)?

Also, check for a pressure regulating valve right near the water meter (if you have a water meter)... see image. If this valve is present it could be clogged up and need to be cleaned out... ;)
