You tacked your post onto a different thread where it could get lost. Please supply make and model of mower.

Hi,
It is not easy to change the belt without removing the deck because of clearances. The deck does come out to the left fairly easily. I have a copy of the manual on a local machine and can email it to you since it is too large to attach. Scroll over my posting name and a dropdown box will pop up.
Picture attached of fan and item #6 is an external snap ring that allows pulley and fan to come off upward.
