Its called rubic cube; it's a puzzle you just have to solve yourself, without outside help.

Capuchin has provided excellent link for solution.
    Differerent than method I use.
Step 1, Pull all pieces apart.
Step 2, Force all pieces in to place, making sure colors one each side match.

There is a separate gaming piece called the Ruby Cube. See the link:
    Generate

    Description:
Yes, more Rubik's-related design, this time the Ruby Cube, designed by J.P. Meulendijks.

It's a side table, made of MDF and special acrylic plates - all the same colour, but rather cleverly changing colour depending on the angle it's viewed from. So you always get the chequered effect wherever you are in the room.

It retails for $399 (around £200). Delivery is included for US and Canada, rest of world delivery is available, email them for price.

Now to solve it? See this posting in the Help Desk on solving the Ruby Cube:

    Perhaps that will help you.
