    Tenant rights in Colorado
What if I were taken to court for rent, late fees, and deposit on the end of the month, but the landlord came to your house and collected the monies, two weeks prior to court date. So I did not attend the end of month court date, and now have a final eviction on my door by the sheriff, in which all monies were paid prior to the court date. What shall I do...

Get out when the sheriff tells you to get out.

Whether you could have defended the eviction action by showing, at the hearing, that you paid after being sued is doubtful, but in any event, since you failed to attend the hearing, you waived any defense you might have had.

If you have proof that you paid everything that was due, you show up at the courthouse on Monday morning (if it's closed on Monday for Columbus Day, show up on Tuesday morning) and ask the court clerk how to file a motion to stay (stop) the eviction. Bring your proof of payment with you. The court should then set a new trial date and you can show your proof to the judge.

You did get a receipt for the payments right? Why did you not attend court?

But you need to do as Lisa suggested and hope its not too late.
