It can very well be from the friction generated from masturbating or perhaps genital warts. You need a complete std screening and exam by your physician.

STD screening and when you wank use a little lube, don't go at it dry. It's like giving it a Indian burn (How racist was that eh?).

Use lube and abstain/use condoms until you have this figured out. If you have something you need to not give it to your GF.
