    Hepatitis B and Pregnancy
    Dear Sir/Madam,
    My name is Suseela. My husband is chronic hepatitis b carrier. Before trying for baby I got 3 shots of hb vaccination. Now I am pregnant. Will my baby be at risk of this virus? If yes, what are the precautions should we take as soon as my baby will born. Please give me reply I am now in 7th month of pregnancy.

    Please discuss this with your obstetrician for the most accurate advice. If you don't have Hepatitis B, there should be little to worry about, but you need to be tested to make sure it hasn't been passed on to you.

    Thanks you for your reply. Do you mean should I be worried if I don't have hep b. or should not be worried? Please clarify Sir.

    Well, for starters, I'm not a "sir" I'm a nurse.

    If you don't have it you shouldn't be worried. However, since your husband has it, there is a chance he passed it on to you. Your doctor will need to test you.
