    Leukemia
Could I have Leukemia? I have been sick a lot this year. Ear infections lung infections. I hurt in all my muscles and joints. My bones even hurt. I am so tired all the time. I have bruises I have no idea how they got there. I started getting red dots that look like blood under the skin they start red then seem to get darker and grow they have even opened and bleed. I don't take med's to make these as older women I work with say their blood pressure med's cause them to have the same spots. I have started feeling drunk all the time I don't drink. I went to the Dr. they did labs.

Did the doctor give you a diagnosis? Are you supposed to have more tests?

He did not give a diagnosis. I got the feeling he was not happy with the results he did order more blood work and said he wanted me to have a ct of my chest. Then said he wanted to wait to get results before we do the ct. I did not mention the night sweats, muscle cramps and spas, headaches. So what do you think be worried or prepared.

    Then you have to wait.

WHAT?? But that information may be critical to his making a diagnosis. You tell us but not your own doctor??

No, you should feel like you've left the dock without a paddle (or pushed your doctor's boat out to sea and didn't give him any oars). You have hamstrung your doctor. Now, tell him ALL the problems you've been having!

    I agree with WG.

If you don't give your doctor all the information, how can he hope to find out what's wrong? Blood work is necessary, so are other tests, but without knowing all the symptoms he doesn't know which tests to order in order to find out what's going on.

You need to talk to your doctor, tell him everything that's going on. When I'm having issues I keep a log, symptoms, when they happened, what I ate, drank, what medication I took, etc. That way when I go to see my doctor I know I won't forget to mention anything. I have it all written down, and a list of questions to go with it.

Give your doctor a chance at finding out what's going on. Otherwise why bother even going if you're going to tie his hands behind his back and send him on a wild goose chase.

Why do you think leukemia, I can think of a dozen illness before that ? Does it run in your family, have you recently watched a show on TV about it ?
