About three years ago I had my main drain line replaced. Two years later my main line started backing up so I call the same plumbing company that replaced my main line. At the time they were busy so they out sourced the job(I didn't find out till later) and the guy told me there were roots in the line. I had trouble believing this being a new line and most of the nearby trees where taken out at the time, but I paid it. Well now about 8 mouths later the same thing is happening, I called my same plumber and this time I asked for it not to be out sourced because of my concerns. When the guy arrived it was the same out source guy from last time. I don't trust this guy and his rate seems to be twice as much as the guy I called to do the job. I was not there when he started the work, do I have any options?

Written contract or just verbal? I would only pay what you were told by the other person. What he is doing is taking his cut and paying the original plumber a "thank you" fee.

It was verbal and at the time I made a point of saying I did not want that other guy out there.
