We installed a laundry sink in our laundry room and wanted to connect the sink drain line to the washer discharge wall mount hole. Ours has two holes and since the washer is already occupying one hole, we figured we'd use the second hole for the sink drain. Is this acceptable and also, what fitting do you use to connect a PVC sink drain pipe to a flexible type hose that can bend to reach and serve as a drain hose?

Yes, except it has two holes for draining (see pictures... if I did this upload process correctly)

That won't work. Here, if you connect directly from your new sink to the box in the wall there would always be standing water in the sink... a definite no-no. There are actually a number of reasons this won't work, but I stated the most important one already.

You could install a laundry pump to pump the water from the sink up to the washer box, but it would be much cheaper and much easier to simply open the wall and connect the sink up properly including installing a PTRAP and a vent (can tie into washer drain and vent). It would look a lot like the picture below...

PS: the 2nd hole in the box in your picture doesn't have anything connected to it... just open hole in box.

OH my.. I'm glad I asked...
So the reason it works as a drain for the washer is because the washer has a sort of pumping mechanism that pushes the draining water through and up that bendable pipe?

This pump has a collection tank that fits under your sink... needs some complicated plumbing and I believe it should have a dedicated electric outlet (varies by state)... and don't forget the plumbing/electric permit if doing this by the book!

Just wanted to present what I could here. Basically, if you want that sink it can be done, but it won't be super easy or cheap... UGH! Sorry...
