I'm on court montoring probation and have a pv, can I request to continue my case to get a lawyer?

You can ask, they may ask why you have not already gotten one. Saying I don't have the money normally is not an excuse. You can ask for a court appointed one, if you fit the guidelines. The fact you are not sitting in jail now is a very good sign, on most probation violations, you are arrested and just sit in jail till a hearing.
