My boyfriend has a probation violation warrant from when he was 17. He is 18 now. He left a court ordered rehab. How long will he be in jail?

Is he in jail now, or are you checking to see how long it could be?

He is in jail now. He has been for about a week now.

He should have been told how long he has to be there. Can you communicate with him?

No they keep moving him around to different jails so I'm not even certain where he is at the moment.

You could Google for public records and use his name and the name of the county/state to find where he is and for how long.

Ive tried. They have it as transferred and whereabouts unknown. I've called the jail as well and they won't provide any information. He was in las Vegas new Mexico jail a few days ago but they keep moving him to different jails for some odd reason.

Can be several issues, first was he in the jail that had the warrant ?

Was it a state or federal warrant ( which probation)

Was the charges at 17 in Juv Court or normal adult court.

Also you are a girl friend, as such may not be given information as to where he is, have you spoken to his family ?

I spoke to the probation officer and he is in juvinille detention at the moment since his charges were when he was 17. He had a court date for his sentencing soon I hope and then he will be put in actual jail. It's a state charge. He just ran away from a court ordered rehab. They are trying to make him go back to rehab but I know he will say no so he will go to jail.
