I need to replace the nipples on my electric hot water heater. I tried using a pipe wrench to remove them but they are not coming lose. Can someone give me a hint as how to remove these from the top of the water heater.

Are they rusted in? Why trying to change? Sometimes you just need a bigger pipe wrench.
