    Wire from ceiling to chandlier
I have a white, black, red, and ground from the junction box from the old combination fan and light, and now I would like to replace with the chandlier. I hook the white to white and black to black the light is on but the switch stayed on all the time and can not cut off. Please help.

Well, unless there are more wires those are your only choices.

Were there two switches to control the fan before?

There is only 1 switch, and it has 2 white and 2 black in the switch. It connect 2 black to the switch and cap two white, I tried 1 white 1 black from the switch but it still does not work. It is all the wire in the ceiling box also. Thank you.

If that's the case the black and white fro the ceiling should work.
Is there a red pair spliced together in the switch box?

    Do you have a multi-tester?

Thank you, the switch box has 2 white and 2 black, but 2 black connect to the switch and 2 white were cap. I tried 1 white and 1 black from the switch, I got no power to the light. I connect 2 black back to the switch I got power to the light, but the switch can not cut OFF and stayed ON. Thank you.

Verify the switch puts power out and breaker is on, sounds like maybe the fan may have been on pull chain, and light on the switch. Switch should work either the red or black when switched. Try with a tester or old socket and a known good bulb.
