I have 4 high credit card debts one has a judgement against me I agreed to pay 250 amonth the other three are haunting me at work all day and night. Does any one know any good ways to help clear this up debt consolidaters want more money to help any suggestions I could have originally settled for half but they won't give you aytime they threatened a sherrif sale on my house can they do that

They will threaten many things, having you arrested, selling your house, taking your drivers license, someone yesterday said they were having the mafia come after them. No they can't do these things, they can with a judgement put a lien ( maybe depends on where you live) on your home, but the lien doesnot allow them to sell the house, merely get the money if and when you sell the house in the future

I recently negotiated with a credit card company for two of my cards with them. What happened is they put me on a payment plan that I can afford and put the interest rate at 5 something percent and 6 something percent. I think that it is a pretty good deal.

So, my answer is that you might try to negotiate with them for something that you can afford.

Also, credit card companies are in great competition with each other these days to gain customers. You might also want to try transferring some of the balances off the highest credit cards to the ones you owe the least. The interest on the transfers might be very low.
