Dad died--no will--and stepmother kept everything and gave it to her kids. We tried court action but I think we were deceived because, as we found out, our lawyer--now deceased--was personal friends with her. Now, she has died and I was wondering if we could take some sort of legal action to recover some of what was initially denied us when Dad passed? There were four properties involved at the time.

No. If you lost in probate court before, what would you ask for now? The previous court decision can't be reversed simply because she is dead. As step-children, you would inherit nothing from her.
