Have a Poulan 14.5 hp w/Peerless MST 206-545C transaxle. Mower worked fine then suddenly stopped. Rolls very hard by hand in nuetral, starts but dies when you let off the brake. Have cleaned debris from around area & can't see any obstruction. I can feel the linkage fall into place when changing gears. Pulley on transaxle won't spin even if in neutral. What have I missed? Thanks for all help. JMC

Is the belt causing the pulley not to spin in nuetral? What have you done to determine this.

If indeed it is not dragging from the belt then you have a transaxle failure that is rare. More than likely a bearing internally.
