What do I need to do for my husband to adopt my son?
I adopted my son. He has no father listed. I am now married and we want my husband to adopt him also, what do I need to do?

If your husband wants to adopt your son then you either put in an application for adoption, or get an attorney to apply for you, or go through an agency that specialize in adoptions.

If you legally adopted your son, then both his bio parents had their rights terminated. So you need not get anyone's permission except yours for your husband to adopt.

So this should be an easy process. I would still suggest an attorney to prepare the paperwork.

Except that, since this would basically be a "step-parent adoption" without an "other" legal parent in the picture, an "agency" couldn't be of any help. Agencies cannot practice law.
