Hi everyone, I've done a very very stupid thing yesterday,I've been caught for shop flying, the amount was around 40 $ (canadian) and the police came
They charged me for Theaft under 5000 $
I came today to do my fingerprint and photos, my judgement is suppose to be the 29th of may.
My problem is that I'm French, I'm 25, it's the first time I do something bad (in france or in canada).
I've got a student Visa (until the beginning of july) and I'm supposed to go back to France the 26th of April.(I've got some exams in france in May)
I'm going to try to go to court erlier but I don't know if it will be possible.

What can they do to me? Can I go to jail? Will I have to stay in Canada for a while? Will they send me back to France directly? What should I do?

I live in ontario (kitchener), where can I go to get a lawyer? How much does it cost (ruffely) in my situation.
