38 weeks pregnant could I be in labor?
I am 38 weeks pregnant. I had my last dr appointment on Friday. I am 1 cm and thinning out. The doctor told me the baby was very low. She made another appointment for me this Thursday but she said I probibly will not make it till then. Ever since Friday I have had contractions that started about 20 minutes apart, yesterday they were between 4 to 8 minutes apart but no pain at all. So I decided to go walk around, that made my back and legs in a lot of pain but the contractions stopped and have not started. Today some more of my plug came out and I have had pain like my period is starting, but no contractions at all... could I be going into labor? I don't want to go in just to be sent home. Any thoughts?

Yes, at this point you would be sent home. Losing your plug is one of the first signs, but this can happen days or weeks before the actual event of labor.

If you aren't having contractions, you aren't in labor.
